NORTH CAROLINA CHAMBER PAC ENDORSES COLLINS
(Raleigh, NC) – Rep. Jeff Collins(R-25, Franklin, Nash) was endorsed Tuesday, August 28th by the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (PAC), further reinforcing Collins’s business credentials in a campaign that is focused on job creation and economic development.
“I am honored by the Chamber’s endorsement,” said Collins. “During my time in the North Carolina House, I have worked hard to cut taxes and reduce the regulatory burden on businesses and individuals. The North Carolina Chamber understands that small businesses are critical to our economic recovery, and I am thrilled to have their support.”
In a news release today, the Chamber PAC said a select number of candidates were endorsed due to their “professional background and record on key business issues demonstrate[ing] a commitment to preserving and enhancing a positive climate for business and job creation in North Carolina.”
“These candidates have demonstrated that they will be supportive of key initiatives that position North Carolina to be more competitive in the race for jobs and economic prosperity for all North Carolinians,” said Lew Ebert, President and CEO of the North Carolina Chamber. “…we know that we can count on a continued commitment to enhancing our state’s business climate from strong, jobs-minded legislators such as those endorsed by the Chamber PAC.”
Collins has been clear that his top priority is bringing jobs to the district and improving North Carolina’s economy. “There is nothing more important for my district or our state than growing a better economy with stable, well-paying jobs,” Collins said. “My work in the House reflects that, and I am proud that the NC Chamber, the leading voice for job creation, has endorsed my candidacy.”
Collins was first elected to the North Carolina House in 2010. He is running for re-election on November 6, 2012. To see the full list of the Chamber PAC’s endorsed candidates, visit the NC Chamber Site here.
